Lena Horne & Jeanne Noble
Berkeley, CA February 15, 1966 - Singer, actress and civil rights activist Lena Horne (left) visited the Helmet Club along with Eastbay, Contra Costa and San Francisco chapter members of the National Council of Negro Women. To Horne’s right is Dr. Jeanne Noble, associate professor at the Center for Human Relations Studies at New York University and the first director of Women’s Job Corps.
