We finish our Martha Lee’s “Favorite Tribune Recipes” series with the best part, dessert. The Cherry Torte was a winner in the Tribune’s recipe contests of the 1960s.
Margaret Mallory, writing under the name Martha Lee, began writing for the Oakland Tribune in 1963 where she became food editor in 1973 and retired in 1985. Her obituary can be read here http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/localnews/ci_17462854
